Puppies are just like kids when it comes to their natural sense of curiosity. These little ones are excited to finally be out in the world, and they obviously can't wait to start exploring and playing with everyone and anything. Responsible owners try their best to train their energetic pups so that they can do so safely and with boundaries. However, puppies are notorious in forgetting those training sessions once something else gets their attention.
Greg Basel from Spokane, Washington, saw this first-hand when he saw his puppy Marshall's ingenious attempt to get back in the house one evening was caught on their CCTV. The little Golden Retriever apparently forgot he wasn't allowed out alone and that late at night without his owner. The obedient pooch immediately stopped himself from continuing his outdoor adventure and turned around to head back inside. The only thing was that the door was shut, so the puppy was in a bind!
At only four months, the pooch was bound to get into fumbles like that as they learned more about everything they can. Some overexcited puppies usually aren't as good with boundaries as Marshall was showing us he was! Unfortunately, all his efforts to open their front door weren't working.
Luckily, this young Golden Retriever was smart as nails. He was able to figure out just how to reach for the buzzer by the door and ring for someone to come get him. It was a good thing that there was someone in the house, or the little pup would have been waiting the whole night!
The funny incident was captured on video through the camera attached to the home's ringer. You could really see the Golden Retriever's snout close up as he rings the doorbell a few times while looking around behind him to check if anyone was around.
