Dogs are almost similar to humans because of their behavior. Service dogs, for instance, are good at assisting humans who are disabled or elderly. With their ability to observe a person’s body language, they can easily tell when someone is in danger. Recently, footage of a dog getting objects out of a blind person’s way went viral and it proved how empathetic dogs are to humans.
In the video, the dog stopped and turned around when he saw a blind man walk by. Some people who saw the video thought it was staged while others perceived it as part of the training. There were also some hopefuls who believed that the dog performed a kind act to help the person in need. While there were mixed reactions to the video, many still thought that the dog only wanted to make sure that the blind man was safe.
The dog might have undergone training, but only an intelligent pooch would do as he was told. The dog noticed that the blind man was heading towards the stick and it was obvious that he could not see it because he was about to climb right over it. Even though he was using his cane as a guide, it can still be unsafe for him, but the dog was quick to get rid of the heavy stick so the man could walk safely without any obstacle. It looked like the dog was a German Shepherd and this breed is known for having the strongest bite.
This is why seeing a dog lift a large branch using his jaws was no surprise. After moving the stick off the pathway, he went back to his fur mom who was patiently waiting for him. Most people who got to watch the video were thankful that the dog was there to help the blind pedestrian.
